Poisonous giants
Dictate and destroy
Drinking from the soil
Know your end
Taste the madness
Residing in the heart of slaves
Carving the symbol of chains
It’s nourishment through cataclysm
A call from the horizon
A drought of the soul
Catharsis through consumption
Seeping through your sight
Blackening your vision
Manifesting in all
I subdue the broken idol
Intertwined and complex
It’s made from destruction
Rotten parasites awoken
The earth uses us
What will remain?

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal

OK, I know I'm seriously missing in the 2016 department, still I have no excuse. This is genre and life changing.

The new progressive death metal project from two members of Ephel Duath, Red Rot strikes a balance between raw pummel and technical prowess. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 23, 2022

I wouldnt call it blackened death but it certainly has the bleak dark atmosphere akin to Akhlys or Watain while pummeling you with pure death metal and a touch of dissonance and doominess á la Morbid Angel..it really combines almost everything i love about metal and theres not a weak spot on here..their first album was good but this is stylistically much different and a vast improvement.
